Birth Doula

As your doula, I will be present to gently accompany, support and encourage you throughout your pregnancy, labor and immediately after the birth. At times that may look like a comforting hand placed on your back or holding a drink of water to your mouth. I follow your lead in knowing when to jump in and when to just step back and allow personal space. This is holding space for my clients. Includes: 1 complimentary consult 2 prenatal visits at your home to discuss your desires for birth and go over any concerns you may have. We define and understand our expectations of one another and go over useful tools for labor and birth. Birth and postpartum plan assistance in clarifying what is most important to you for your birth and in your postpartum period. Supporting Her 2-hour online partner preparation class – Being a great support to a mother in labor can be challenging. The goal of this class is to help prepare you for this role by equipping you with ideas, tools and strategies. The class is designed specifically for partners, but can certainly be viewed as a couple! Access to my lending library of books and videos about pregnancy, birth and baby care, to support your learning. Labor/birth attendance. Continuous physical, emotional, and informational support for you and your partner for the duration of labor and birth. Support immediately after birth. Initial support immediately after birth to help with the establishment of breastfeeding and help get you settled and comfortable. 1 postpartum follow-up visit at your home to see how you and baby are doing, process your birth story and answer any questions and/or suggest local helpful resources. Phone, text, and /or e-mail support throughout your pregnancy, early labor and up to 6 weeks postpartum.
