Dancing For Birth™ classes

Dancing For Birth™ (DFB) moves are low impact exercise. DFB moves get endorphins flowing and encourage oxytocin production when practiced during labor.

We are the “trifecta” of birth preparation: feel-good prenatal fitness, essential birth wisdom, and celebration of pregnancy, birth and mothering, all rolled into a weekly class that supports you from preconception to postpartum!

Every class is prenatal education and fitness fusion, during which we spend time learning about a different topic related to the prenatal period, birth, postpartum and/or newborn care and we get active and have fun!

During a typical class we stretch, practice relaxation, dance, learn moves, talk, share, all while strengthening our core and pelvic floor.

Spring six-week series

Time: Thursdays, 5:30 – 7 PM

Location: Vishnu’s Couch Yoga Studio, 61 Prospect St., Binghamton, NY 13901

Located on the third floor of a walk up, so please plan to arrive five to ten minutes early to allow for climbing the flights of stairs.*

*There is a service elevator if you need it. (Please let me know before-hand if you think you’d like to use it.)

Class dates: April 4, 2019 – May 9, 2019**

Cost: $90 package price (paid in full by April 4)

Class Options



I plan on teaching a Summer 6-week series of classes from July 11 to August 15 as well. If that is something you are interested in please contact me or check back later for more details.

Missed class due to birth policy: You are welcome to make up missed Dancing For Birth Classes, due to having your baby, anytime postpartum with your baby in a wrap or without your baby, to enjoy your missed classes in a session that is currently running.

What to wear/bring: Wear clothing you can be active in, e.g. yoga pants, leggings, long flowy skirts, etc. Babies are welcome in class; however, it is recommended that you bring a baby carrier so that baby can be worn during class. You may also desire to bring a bottle of water.
